How long did you date? 6 Months
How old is he? 32
Who said ‘I love you’ first? Luke did

Happy Late Easter, Happy Birthdays...etc.
Things have been so busy around the Johnson home lately but I wanted to post a few pictures from Easter. We had lots of fun. Luke and I still hide each other's Easter Baskets and it was still so much fun watching him search for his Easter Basket that he can't find until I give him huge hints. Now that we are in a bigger home there were so many more hiding spots!

Yesterday was my cute Mom's 60th bday! Happy Bday Mom! And today is Luke's Dad's big 70th bday! Happy Bday Eldon! April is a big month for bdays for us.
Saturday night we had the opportunity to go to our friend's party he was having at the Sonora Grill Restaurant in Ogden. Beautiful restaurant. We tried foods that I never thought would enter my mouth. Like ceviche which is basically sushi, and mussels! Luke even tried them. It was so fun to see Dustin and his new restaurant which I am sure is going to do wonderful. Way to go Dustin!
I would be so ungrateful if I didn't take a moment to pay my respects to little Kser Nay Moo who was found dead last night in SLC. It is so tragic that such a beautiful, special little spirit was taken from this life so suddenly and so tragically and I hope that the people that are responsible for this will get the maximum punishment for this. Last night I checked on Gracie so many times just wanting to make sure she was safe and sound in her crib. I don't know how a parent adjusts to losing a child. I can't even imagine. I know these people will pay someday, but it just isn't soon enough. My heart and prayers go out to her little family at this time. Always check your doors an extra time before you go to bed. Make sure your windows are locked. There are so many scary people out there nowdays you really can't trust anyone. Hug your children tonight and every night. Give them that extra kiss, read them that extra book and love them like there is no tomorrow. I am sooooooo truly blessed and grateful for my little Gracie. We decided it would be fun to spike her hair since it is getting longer and here is the end results...

My Celebrity Look-Alikes
I copied this idea from Mel and it was so much fun so I challenge all of you to do it too and post it so I can see which celebrities everyone looks most like. I don't even know half of these, but Nicole Kidman? In my dreams!
Here is something even funnier! Luke matches Ashlee Simpson! I am still laughing!

What's This You Ask???? And...Happy Bday to Millie & Daisy!
Well, if you know Luke and I, then you know we have about the worst luck ever. We are always the one family that has that one strange thing that never happens, happen to us. Especially me and my health! Well, last Saturday I had just changed Gracie and Luke was upstairs playing the XBOX when I noticed a strange, horrible smell. It smelled like a permanent solution and it kept getting stronger and stronger, so I yelled for Luke to come down and take a whiff. Instantly he ran out onto our deck and this is what he saw:
A giant hole! You ask how and what is it? Here's more hints....

And here are a few shots of the basement:

Did you figure it out? Our septic tank collapsed! How often does that happen? Never. They have never seen it happen according to Grover's excavation that installed this. They said someone how the cement vault's lid must have been faulty to begin with, got a crack in it somehow, possibly that earthquake in Nevada a few weeks ago and all of the gravel and weight on top of it just crushed it. Sending water into our basement that luckily didn't have poop in it, but it was a mess! Why us? I am just grateful the basement didn't get it any worse than it did. But it is all fixed and things are back to normal for the moment.
I have to post a pic of my baby!
And today is Millie and Daisy's 8th Birthday! Happy Birthday to them. We are having lots of treats to celebrate it! Wahoo!!!!! Love you guys! Here is Millie...

And Daisy....
I have been on my new thyroid drug for a week now and haven't noticed any difference, but they say it will take awhile and months before any weight starts coming off. Grrrrr. At least we know what the problem is. I can't believe that Easter is next Sunday! Where does the time go? Gracie is almost 8 months old! I have had to retire all of her 3-6 month clothes into storage bins in hopes that somehow, someway we might be able to adopt one more someday. I just can't believe she has already outgrown all of those clothes. I am so grateful for Steph donating Harli's clothes to us. I can't wait until she can wear them. She is going to look so dang cute! Have a super day everyone!!!!!!

Lisa STILL Has the Crud Bug!
Not much has happened around the Johnson home besides sickness! Gracie still has her crud but I am thinking it is on its way out, except everyday she manages to get a temperature of at least 103. I thought maybe she was getting a tooth, but there is no sign of a tooth. It just scares me to death. The doc says to just give her a cool bath and some tylenol and it always does the trick. I just want to know what is causing it.
As for me, I had my blood drawn last friday and of course it was a nightmare. I have had the flu and it hit really bad last Thursday. So bad I couldn't eat or drink anything, so I was extremely dehydrated for this blood draw that had to be done on Friday according to Dr. Kirkman to get the right hormone levels tested. She could not find a vein! Anywhere she saw what looked like a scar or a freckle, she stabbed hoping it was an old scar that led to a vein! After 45 minutes she used the vein on the top of my hand and it took another 45 minutes to drain the blood out! I thought I was going to pass out! The tests came back two days ago and I found out that I had something called Graves disease, but no longer have it because my thyroid has stopped working all together. Dr. K thinks it is from the brain trauma when I had Gracie. So I start the thyroid pill tomorrow. He said it was so hard for me to realize all of the symptoms after just having a baby because they are things like fatigue, always being so tired and worn out, losing your hair, gaining weight...stuff that normally happens after you have a baby. I have continued to put on almost 5 pounds a month since December which has been sooooooo frustrating considering I am watching everything that I eat. Dr. K said within a few months I should start to notice some weight loss and my energy level should increase. If I don't lose weight soon, we are going to have to widen the doors on this new house! I hate not fitting into my clothes and I refuse to go buy bigger ones. I got down to only having 14 pounds more to lose before my pre-pregnancy weight and then this happens. When Dr. K called the drugs into my pharmacy he said the pharmacist just laughed because I am his most frequent filler. He felt bad saying that I seem to get one of everything. I just have to keep telling myself it isn't cancer and things are going to be ok! I just want to get my life back on track. I want my brain injury to be gone so that I can get my memory back and pick up the speed on my medical transcription class. Is that too much to ask for?
Gracie sure is growing like a weed, or should I say beautiful flower. Tonight when I tucked her in she grabbed onto my hands like she didn't want me to go. I am sure it meant nothing, but it felt like a million bucks! I am so madly in love with that little girl.
Luke managed to pull a muscle in his back at work and so he has been hurting pretty bad and you know men when they hurt anything....need I say more?
My cute Dad has the flu too. It is just going around, so everyone please spray your house down several times a day with lysol! The phones, the door knobs, sanitize your hands, your arms, even your face, your faucets, everything! This is the worst flu bug ever! I have had it for 3 weeks and counting!!!!! Given I no longer have an immune system so I catch everything and can't get rid of anything and that includes weight!
My Patrick Swayze has pancreas cancer which makes me just sick. I am sure he will die within the next few weeks, but boy will I miss him. He has been such a big part of my growing up! Hanging on my wall. Dirty Dancing is my favorite movie because of him. I hope he can pull through this, but his prognosis is not good. And him in Ghost, now that is a classic!

Gracie Bug has the Crud Bug!
Wednesday, February 27, 2008
My little Gracie bug has had a horrible cold for about 2 weeks now and it has just gotten worse, and worse. We never take her in public and she spends her life in the house here with me, so I don't know how she got it. I have been so worried she was going to get RSV, but she hasn't really been running a fever. Yesterday right after I fed her she started coughing and threw up everything and that was the last straw for me, so we rushed her over to Dr. Brown who thinks that she has a horrible viral infection and possibly bronchitis. I was so relieved to know she didn't have RSV and didn't have to have any horrible tests. I have the humidifier going in her room, she has vicks vapor rub on her chest 24/7. She hates the saline nose drops, but they seem to be helping a little bit. I just hate her to be sick! I hate that I can't make her better. She manages to smile through it all though. Her hair has been so hilarious lately because it is growing so fast and it stands straight up in the back. I will have to take a picture and post it.
I went to Dr. Kirkman on Monday for a follow up and he wants lots of blood tests done this Friday, my favorite thing...so I will keep everyone updated. I am so sick of gaining weight and he thinks it might be a thyroid issue, so we will soon see. I just want to be down to my pre-pregancy weight. Is that too much to ask for? When I am this fat I feel so terrible about myself and life, you know? I need a new hairdo, I just need to do something with this body and I know if I could drop 20 pounds I would feel fabulous!!!! Enough about me. I hope this blog finds you all happy and healthy! Have a super day and know that you are loved and thought of often. I check each of your blogs almost daily. I love being updated on everyone! I just don't know where the time goes! To my cute Brianne, who has to have surgery tomorrow with Finlayson on her hand, you are in my thoughts and prayers and to Mandy who had her reconstructive surgery yesterday, you too are in my thoughts and prayers! I love you!

Happy Half Bday to Me!!!!
Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Today is my half birthday! Exciting huh! I wish it meant I was going back down the age ladder and not up! I just got back from walking the hounds and it is so beautiful out there. Just muddy though. I have managed to get shin splints which are just lovely. I also manage to get rocks in my shoes every time we walk since we live on a dirt road but I have to keep telling myself that they might hurt, but I am glad that I can still feel the rocks in my shoes since I am losing feeling in my feet due to diabetes. I haven't posted anything in weeks and I feel terrible, but I have been so busy studying! I started the medical transcription classes back up and can't remember anything from the stroke so I am having to start over from page one which is frusturating, but I am halfway through course 2 which is good. There is a total of 5 courses before I graduate and I can't wait until I am there!
Gracie is cuter than ever! Luke gave me a digital picture frame for Vday and I am loving it. I could sit and watch it all day. My baby girl is so photogenic and so are my hounds. I just love them all so much! Gracie is learning to love bath time. She loves to have her picture taken. I am going to just post a bunch of pics. One is the cake I made Luke for VDay. It was one of those red velvet cakes which was quite good. Then I will post a pic of our neighbor in his tractor bailing us out of our driveway and from drifts from the snow storms we keep getting out here. The snow drifts we get are insane. I hope all of you are happy and healthy and know that you are loved!
