What A Sight to See!
So, tonight I took the 5 dogs and Gracie on our nightly walk and can I just say that it was quite the sight to see. Here I am walking down this dirt road and the wind picks up so I now have dust blowing in my eyes and I can't see worth crap. Out where we live, you have to be able to see every step you take so you don't step on a snake. We get to Peanut's house and pick her up and start walking down the road and wind from nowhere hits us and it seemed like it was at least 75 mph. My ponytail started beating the heck out of me and Gracie is just staring up at me while I am trying to run down the road. All 5 dogs are on leashes and are cooperating which is great, but when I start running, so do they and it is so windy that they can't here me yelling slow down so they took me for quite the run, and I couldn't see a thing. Dirt in my eyes, flesh wounds from the pony tail, ok maybe I am exaggerating a little, but I still enjoy my nightly walk with the hounds. Something I will treasure forever!

Dreading Tomorrow!
Poor little Gracie has an appt for her 1 year shots tomorrow and I have been dreading this appt literally, since I made it 4 months ago! I hate shots, but I know they are for a great cause and I couldn't live with myself if I didn't get her immunized and she got a horrible disease. This world is infested with all sorts of horrible things and I want to protect her as much as I possibly can, I just wish they could do it with drops and not needles! I hate to see my baby hurt!
This past weekend Luke and I took Gracie to the fair in Logan and we took her to see all the animals, but she didn't seem to interested so we just walked around and looked at all the fun booths and the rides. Ran into my cute friends Larene and Ashley from the hospital and it is always so nice to run into people from CVSH. I sure do miss everyone there!
I hope that everyone is enjoying their summers and staying healthy and happy! Facebook has been such an addiction for me and especially lately. I have been able to catch up with sooo many friends from my past and it is so great to hear what everyone actually grew up to be lol!

A Newborn's Conversation With God
My friend sent this to me and it is too beautiful not to post! Enjoy!
A newborn's conversation with God
A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'
The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'
Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'
'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'
'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'
'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Eart h could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'
God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'
Lift a mother's spirit, send this to every mother you know (no matter how old her child is) .

15 Year High School Reunion!
I managed to forget my camera for my high school reunion, so I borrowed my parents, but haven't got the pictures back yet, so if I remember I will post them in a later post. It was so much fun to see everyone. To my amazement, the girls were sooo skinny and the boys were a bit bigger and balder! I tend to follow the boys lead because I think I was the biggest girl there, but it was so fun seeing everyone! I sat with Bonnie, Kristi Davenport and Chrissi Anderson Richards. I don't think the husbands had such a good time, but they were good sports to stick it out with us all night!
Gracie has to have her 1 year shots next week and I am dreading them, but then at least they will be done and I don't have to stress until 15 months! Yesterday I was having some diabetic issues and I am here to tell you that Michelle is my guardian angel. She ALWAYS seems to know when something is up. She just happened to call right as I had just done my blood sugar and found out I was 600 and had to do another shot in my stomach. She chatted away for awhile and tried to take my mind off of me having to give myself that shot and it worked! I think that the tube in my pump had some how kinked and the only way to know when that happens, is by having a blood sugar reading that says 580! I am doing much better today though and I just want to thank my cute Michelle. I don't know what I would do without her. Love you Michelle!

Making Memories...
Gracie's Birthday was fun and went by way to fast. I am including some of her cake pics. We didn't do a party, I just don't think when they are 1 they need gifts from everyone, so we just did cake and all she wanted was the balloons and the wrapping paper off of her presents! Michelle and her cute kids came by and say hi too which was fun. We don't get to see Travis very often, so we were glad he came too! Grandpa Eldon and Becky came over for a little while for some cake too. My cute parents spoiled her on Sunday. She now has her first toothbrush thanks to Grandma! She got her first tooth this past Sunday, exciting but she isn't sleeping through the night anymore, so, I guess I get to go through that with every tooth, but she is so stinking cute, I have to post pics!

Yesterday I went to lunch with my cute friend Janis that just moved back here from Seattle and it was soooooooooooo great seeing her. She bought Gracie like 10 outfits that she is going to look so cute in! We love you Janis! Here's a few pics of Gracie and I on our way to meet Janis and a picture with Janis!

Gracie's Turning 1!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow my baby girl is turning one and I would be so ungrateful if I didn't take a few minutes and express my love for that little girl. One year ago tonight, about this time I started feeling pretty crappy. Bad head and the throw ups, not knowing that I had eclampsia, I spent the night on the couch so I wouldn't wake Luke up since I was throwing up every few minutes. Had I only known what would happen over the next 24 hours....to make a very long, long story short, 2 seizures, biting a chunk of my tongue off, an ambulance ride, 4 strokes, going into cardiac arrest for 3 minutes, ribs were broken while they did chest compressions, being life-flighted to Mckay-Dee, bleeding on the brain, platelets dropped below 40,000 and they have to be over 100,000 for surgery so I got a six pack of platelets before the surgery, in surgery for 4 hours, 3 were spent trying to intubate me while I was awake with no luck, Miss Gracie Ann Johnson was born at 4:27 pm.
I have so many people I want to thank for being there for me while I was in the hospital. First, Luke. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you finding me, giving me an incredible blessing with my Dad, your Dad, Mark and Dr. Ferguson. For having the strength to be by side through this trying experience. I can't even begin to imagine what was going through your mind during all of this. I love you more than you will ever know. Suzanne, you are the closest I will ever come to a sister and you were right next to me and I can't thank you enough for that. My cute Mom told me you sat with me for awhile in the recovery room holding my hand talking to me and I would give anything to remember that, but I can't. I am so grateful my Mom and others have filled me in. I know you being there helped me more than you can ever know. Mark, my little brother, you are such a great example to me. The funny thing is, I can't remember anything from the Saturday night until Monday night, but I do remember you in the recovery room telling me that you don't tell me enough that you love me. That has meant more to me than anything. I don't tell you enough just how much I love you and what you mean to me. I don't know what I did in the previous life to get you for my brother, but I would do it 1000 times over, same with Matt! Matt and Amy, thank you for being there and for your thoughts and prayers and for coming and spending time with me. I know Mckay-Dee is out of the way for all of you and I am so grateful you all came and saw me several times. Eldon and Becky, thanks for being there, for your thoughts and prayers also. Words can't even express how thankful I am for you. Michelle, I am so grateful to have you in my life. You were one of the lucky ones that were put on the NICU pass so you could come and see Gracie. When I saw that picture of you holding her, it just melted my heart. I will treasure that picture and our friendship forever. I love you! Kim Arigot, my ICU nurse and friend, I love you Kim!!!!!!!! Kim even took the time to wash all the blood out of my hair after the surgery. How lucky am I? She took such good care of me. Since I bit my tongue off and it was so swollen, she would make sure I had sugar free chocolate blue bunny bars which were soooooooooo fabulous! She brought Gracie the cutest pair of pajamas and we have stayed in touch ever since. Dr. Seale, the amazing physician/surgeon that delivered Gracie. I can't tell you enough how much I love you! You truly saved not only my life, but Gracie's. I am so, so, so glad you were the on call doctor that day! You will always be a huge part of our lives and I can't thank you enough for your skill, talents and friendship. We love you! NICU nurses, we love you all too! I wish I could name them all by name! Dr. Ferguson, you also saved my life and I can't thank you enough for making the decision to have me life-flighted to Mckay-Dee where Dr. Seale performed his magic. Thank you and we love you too! Thank you to Dr. Kirkman for being such a great OB, he was planning on doing a c-section on July 26th, but obviously plans didn't work out that way. We love you Dr. Kirkman. Thank you to all of our cute family and friends that took the time to come and visit and for all of your thoughts and prayers. Last but not least, my Mom and Dad. My parents have been through so much with me. My health hasn't been the greatest since I got diabetes and I have spent way to many nights in the ICU. My Mom always comes and holds my hand, rubs my head, brushes my hair back, brings me magazines, a nightgown, just makes me feel like her baby all over again which to me, is priceless. She stays with me until late at night and is back there with me first thing in the morning. She stays with me for every IV poke, blood draw, blood gas, etc. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She truly is my best friend. Everytime I am in an ER, I seem to panic, she always makes me laugh. She always makes things seem better. I hope that I can be the same kind of Mom to Gracie that she has been for me. I love you so much Mom. I feel so bad for being such a rotten teenager and putting you and Dad through so much crap. Even though a whole year has passed, this whole entry brings me to tears. I am so full of gratitude for my Heavenly Father, for blessing my life with this beautiful miracle. She is perfect. She is healthy, happy and just the cutest little girl in the whole world. I never knew how fast and how deep I could fall in love with something so tiny. I don't deserve this little angel. She is to good to be true. I have to keep pinching myself to make sure I am not dreaming. I love you Gracie and I can't believe it has already been a year! Where has the time gone. My father-in-law told me tonight that I will blink and she is going to be grown up and gone! I believe it. I seem to have no concept of time anymore. I am going to post tons of pictures of my hospital stay and let me just warn you ahead of time. When all this happened, you will notice in the first picture, I am not larger than life, within 24 hours I gained like 60 pounds of fluid from the eclampsia and HELLP syndrome, not a pretty picture, but these are so precious to me and I want to share them with all of you. It is hopefully the worst you will ever see me, but inside, the happiest and luckiest. I love you all.

JOURNEY, HEART & CHEAP TRICK!!!!!!!
Last night was one the best nights of my life! I can't stop thinking about it! Luke and I went on a date to the Journey concert while my cute parents watched Gracie. We couldn't of had better seats. We were right next to the stage and I got guitar pics, I even got sweat dripping on me from the singers we were so close! I don't know how many of you are Journey fans, but Steve Perry got vocal cord cancer years and years ago and was replaced several times. Last time they came, Jeff Scott Soto was the lead singer and he was amazing. Not sure what happened to him, but he has been replaced by a man named Arnel Pineda and he has the best voice. He sounded so much like Steve Perry and boy was it an experience. I was so excited all day yesterday because I knew we would be making a wonderful memory that I will always remember. Cheap Trick was good, they are aging quickly though... Ann Wilson is larger than life now, but still has an amazing voice. Her sister Nancy Wilson was sooo great. She sings just as great as Ann. She kept smiling at us and was just a cutie! Then it was time for the much anticipated Journey! Out they came and words can't even describe my adrenaline rush. Luke and I were going crazy! They would come and sing right to us. After all of these years, they have not gone down hill at all, if anything, they are still climbing upwards! I just put a song on my playlist called "After All These Years," which they dedicated to the crowd for sticking with them all this time. It is so beautiful. So take a moment and listen to the words. Such a memorable evening to share with not only Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick, but my best friend! I love you Luke! P.S. To all my hospital friends, the piano/guitar player for Journey in the white tank top is Brian Nelson's twin! I think he might work on the side for Journey!
