Family, Freebies & Food...

I am so officially behind on blogging! I have been sitting here for the past 20 minutes trying to get my pictures to load off the card and for some reason it won't, so here is yet another post with no pics. Sorry! I tried!

Suz and the kids were up here tonight and we got to see them and spend some time with them which is always awesome. Eldon took us to Hamilton's and it was the first time I had ever been there! Gracie thought she needed to flirt with the waitor the whole time which was pretty cute lol. Hayden and Addison are growing up so fast and they are so cute. Wish we got to see more of them! Gracie only has 4 cousins and the other 2 live in Salt Lake and we don't get to see much of them either!

In the mail today I received a coupon for free Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and then they sent me 10 additional 1.25 off coupons for them which I thought was awesome. How sad is that, that something like that excites me so much lol. I even took a pic of the coupons to share with you, but the dang pics won't load!

Gracie has to have her 15 month shots on Monday which I am dreading! But I have to just think of my cute friend's nephew that is having major brain surgery and worrying over shots is sooo silly. I do wish Ethan the best of luck on Thursday. He sure has been in my thoughts and prayers lately.

I have been addicted to 2 wonderful food blogs that you all have to check out. The links to them are on the left side of the screen. The first one is Our Best Bites. My cute little friend Kate Randle and her friend Sara are geniuses! I love their recipes and all the pics they put on their blog so I can follow the recipe better. This week they are doing Halloween treats and can I just say YUM! Friday there is even a give away, so check it out! My other new fav is called Your Home Based Mom. Great recipes! I just tried the Cafe Rio sweet pork burritos and they turned out soooo good. The lady that runs the website is a doll! She posted a very evil recipe that I made and was instantly addicted to which is horrible for me being diabetic, but I should rename it: Death for a diabetic, by Caramel Apple Dip. It involves 1 block of softened cream cheese (which I am not a big fan of, but in this case- Yum!), 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 1/4 c. white sugar and a Tablespoon of Vanilla. Right before you are ready to serve it, cut up your apples and then add 2/3 a bag of Heath or Skor bits too the dip, mix and inhale. Oh my heck it is delicious! Great for a party or just to gain 10 pounds. I highly recommend!

Sorry for talking your ear off tonight, I promise to post pics soon. Hope everyone's Halloween is "Spooktacular"! Love you!

Gracie is Officially Walking!

So Gracie is officially walking now, she has been taking little steps here and there, but now, she just walks everywhere! It is sooo cute. I got her walking on the IFlip, I just need to download it so you can all see her! So dang cute! And she is now cutting teeth like crazy. She has had her two bottom ones for months and that is it, but now they are all starting to move in! Poor baby!

Tonight I had a great bargain shop run at Smith's that I had to share! I got $140 worth of groceries for $24 and it felt soooo good! Revlon mascara, Revlon powder, Revlon eye shadow, 10 bags of dog treats, 4 toilet paper, 12 BRUT deoderant, teething tablets, 2 packages of alphabet macaroni, 5 baby foods, and 4 Johnson & Johnson Little Buddy Bars! Here are the goods!

Families are Forever!

Photobucket

Today is my cute sister-in-law's birthday! So, Happy, Happy Birthday Suzanne! I hope you eat an extra big piece of cake for me and we can't wait to see you next Wednesday!

Tonight was pretty emotional for me. I attended two very lovely viewings, but so sad! The first one was for a remarkable, wonderful, loving man that I used to work with at the Flying J Corporate Offices years ago. I had the pleasure of working with his cute daughter Tricia and she married our good friend Clint. Preston died of a massive heart attack this week and he wasn't even 50! He has such an incredible, beautiful, strong family. I am just so sad that this happened to them and that I can't do anything to make them feel any better! We also had a wonderful man in our ward die this week who was right around 50. He died in a car wreck and left behind a beautiful family also. I ended up waiting over 2 hours just to see his cute family. Lots of people came to the viewing. He was a very loved man also and will be remembered my many. My thoughts and prayers sure are with these cute, sweet, humble families at this time. It just goes to show how sudden our loved ones can be taken away from us, so we have to enjoy every moment! Live each day like it is your last! The only thing that gets me through times like these is knowing that this truly isn't the end, it is just the beginning and FAMILIES ARE FOREVER! Since I have had 2 brushes with death in my lifetime, it really has made me think that everyday is the last. I used to never tell the people around me including my dogs how much I love them on a daily basis, and now that is a have to! I don't hang up the phone without saying I love you, or write an email without an I love you in it. I just want all of you to know how much I love you and appreciate the place you have in my heart. Love to all!

Headaches! Grrrrr!

I have had headaches now every night for the past two weeks and I honestly think it is all from stress, but I had the chance to go to this new doctor and he is nice, but that is about the only great thing I have to say about him. I hate going to new docs and I realize he has giant shoes to fill after having the awesome doc I have had for so long. He just turned 30 and is brand new to the medical field. He knows nothing about diabetes. He didn't check my feet which is soooooo important if you are diabetic. I ended up taking a shoe off so he could look at all of those lovely blisters I shared with all of you weeks ago that are still there! I asked him what he thought my headaches could be from and he said diabetes. Great answer. I just don't know what to do about a doctor. I like that he is young and that I don't have to worry about him retiring anytime soon, but I can't wait years and years for him to become more experienced in diabetes and I need someone that can help me and my health now! Logan sure lacks great diabetic docs, but I need to find one in the valley since I see the doc so often! So frustrating! Luke is very frustrated with all of the headaches I have been having lately too. I think the stress of him getting cut back to 3 days a week now and me staying home with Gracie scares me money wise with the way the economy is. I am still doing the medical transcription classes online, but they are sooo slow due to my memory loss. Grrrrr! I just need to win the lottery!

Conference was sooo good. It is funny how some talks just seem to be directed right at you. I haven't felt the spirit so strong as I did on Saturday listening to the first session of conference. I decided to make homemade chili and cinnamon rolls and while it was all cooking, I sat on the couch and held Gracie in my arms and listed to all of the amazing talks. I don't know how many you watched the history of Thomas S. Monson right after the first session, but I cried the whole way through. It was so beautiful and what an incredible man. I knew he would have huge shoes to fill after Gordon B. Hinckley, but he sure is doing a great job. Wow. Such an inspiring man and such a great example to me and my cute family. I sat and looked at how beautiful and peaceful Gracie was as she laid in my arms and just how truly blessed I am to have that little girl. No matter what happens in this life, she is mine and I am soooo truly grateful and blessed that families are forever!
