Birthday, Lagoon and the Dentist!

Sorry I haven't posted lately but life has just seemed to pass me right by! Last Tuesday was my 21st bday again. Got to go to dinner with my cute family Monday night and Wednesday night I went out with my in-laws which was great. I got the Twilight series for my bday and can I just say, addictive! I read the first book in 2 days and I am halfway through the second! I highly recommend! Thursday night we went to the fair so Gracie could see all the cute animals and I took pics, but I didn't bring the memory card with me upstairs and I am way to lazy to go retrieve it, so I will post them later. Two cute little lambs kept nibbling on her toes, it was too cute! She would laugh and laugh! We met Michelle, Troy and the boys at the fair and Troy even rode the zipper with me! Wahoo! I think my stomach is aging with me though, it wasn't as strong on that ride as I would have liked it to be! Friday I got to go to the Dermatologist about a sore on my arm I have had for over a year now. Being diabetic means I NEVER heal! Saturday was a blast. I went with my little brother Mark to Lagoon for the day and we had sooooo much fun! Luke hates rides so he stayed home with Gracie and Mark and I just let loose all day. We got burned to a crisp and my feet are raw since we went on so many water rides and I walked around Lagoon all day with wet shoes, but it was so worth it! Monday I went to the dentist in SLC. He is my uncle, so that is why we drive so far to the dentist and it was so good seeing him. I have had a tooth that has been bugging me and to my surprise, they couldn't find anything wrong! I was prepared for the worst and had a very pleasant outcome!

We got to see Matt and Amy's new beautiful, enormous home! I just feel like I have been running and running and haven't taken time to stop and breathe lol! I hope this posting finds everyone happy and healthy. Life Flight just went over the house and I hope it is going to save a life, like it did mine! Now I am feeling guilty, I will go grab the memory card....

I forgot I took the pics with my phone at the fair, so those will have to wait. I took the camera to Lagoon and I kept forgetting to take pics, so here is one of Mark and I when we got home that night.

Oh, and we played Bocci for my bday, so here are some pics of Mark, Luke and my Dad playing while Mom feeds Gracie!

Oh, and one last thing...Miss Gracie is getting curly hair like her Dad! Here are a few pics of the curls after her bath today! She is getting teeth now too!

And one last thing, has all of their Skechers on for 24 bucks now! You can't beat that!

Blessings and Prayers

I would be so ungrateful if I didn't take a moment to let everyone know how much I love my little Gracie and my cute family and my dogs. Yesterday I found out one of my little guys in nursery had a seizure Saturday night that lasted for a half hour, they rushed him to the hospital and he died, but they were able to save him and life flight him to Primary Children's where he died again, but they were able to intubate him and he is now in intensive care. He is only two and such a beautiful, energetic, fun, loving little man! He sure has been in my thoughts and prayers and I can't even imagine what his cute parents are going through right now. He is so young! I know when you have a seizure that lasts that long, brain damage is always a possibility, oh I feel so helpless. So everyone, give your cute kids, dogs, cats, pets and hubbies an extra hug today and tell them how much you love them and how grateful and blessed you are to have them in your life. I love you all!

Today I went bday shopping with my cute Mom. I love spending time with her. Wish we got to do that more often! We found some way cute things! Tonight I went grocery shopping at Smith's and bought $125 bucks worth of groceries, but after all the savings and my coupons, I only spent $46 bucks! That totally made my day! I love coupons and I love saving that much money! I took a picture of all the goodies I got for that awesome price! Thanks so much for getting me hooked on coupons Steph!
Little Miss Gracie is becoming quite mischievous! Here she is getting into her hamper, and look at the sweet, innocent face!
Gracie is learning how to climb stairs and the other night I thought she was playing in her room when I heard a boom followed by crying, she had climbed a few stairs and fell and landed on her head on our tile! I felt soooooooo bad! Here is her red bump on her head! My poor baby!
These last few pics are Gracie tonight and the one of Sadie hoping she will drop food is my favorite. So, so cute!

What A Sight to See!

So, tonight I took the 5 dogs and Gracie on our nightly walk and can I just say that it was quite the sight to see. Here I am walking down this dirt road and the wind picks up so I now have dust blowing in my eyes and I can't see worth crap. Out where we live, you have to be able to see every step you take so you don't step on a snake. We get to Peanut's house and pick her up and start walking down the road and wind from nowhere hits us and it seemed like it was at least 75 mph. My ponytail started beating the heck out of me and Gracie is just staring up at me while I am trying to run down the road. All 5 dogs are on leashes and are cooperating which is great, but when I start running, so do they and it is so windy that they can't here me yelling slow down so they took me for quite the run, and I couldn't see a thing. Dirt in my eyes, flesh wounds from the pony tail, ok maybe I am exaggerating a little, but I still enjoy my nightly walk with the hounds. Something I will treasure forever!

Dreading Tomorrow!

Poor little Gracie has an appt for her 1 year shots tomorrow and I have been dreading this appt literally, since I made it 4 months ago! I hate shots, but I know they are for a great cause and I couldn't live with myself if I didn't get her immunized and she got a horrible disease. This world is infested with all sorts of horrible things and I want to protect her as much as I possibly can, I just wish they could do it with drops and not needles! I hate to see my baby hurt!

This past weekend Luke and I took Gracie to the fair in Logan and we took her to see all the animals, but she didn't seem to interested so we just walked around and looked at all the fun booths and the rides. Ran into my cute friends Larene and Ashley from the hospital and it is always so nice to run into people from CVSH. I sure do miss everyone there!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their summers and staying healthy and happy! Facebook has been such an addiction for me and especially lately. I have been able to catch up with sooo many friends from my past and it is so great to hear what everyone actually grew up to be lol!

A Newborn's Conversation With God

My friend sent this to me and it is too beautiful not to post! Enjoy!

A newborn's conversation with God

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Eart h could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

Lift a mother's spirit, send this to every mother you know (no matter how old her child is) .

15 Year High School Reunion!

I managed to forget my camera for my high school reunion, so I borrowed my parents, but haven't got the pictures back yet, so if I remember I will post them in a later post. It was so much fun to see everyone. To my amazement, the girls were sooo skinny and the boys were a bit bigger and balder! I tend to follow the boys lead because I think I was the biggest girl there, but it was so fun seeing everyone! I sat with Bonnie, Kristi Davenport and Chrissi Anderson Richards. I don't think the husbands had such a good time, but they were good sports to stick it out with us all night!

Gracie has to have her 1 year shots next week and I am dreading them, but then at least they will be done and I don't have to stress until 15 months! Yesterday I was having some diabetic issues and I am here to tell you that Michelle is my guardian angel. She ALWAYS seems to know when something is up. She just happened to call right as I had just done my blood sugar and found out I was 600 and had to do another shot in my stomach. She chatted away for awhile and tried to take my mind off of me having to give myself that shot and it worked! I think that the tube in my pump had some how kinked and the only way to know when that happens, is by having a blood sugar reading that says 580! I am doing much better today though and I just want to thank my cute Michelle. I don't know what I would do without her. Love you Michelle!
