Horrible Sunday Night....

Tonight was awful. We went to my cute parents like we always do for Sunday dinner and everything was going great until my Mom was carrying Gracie down their front stairs and her heel caught the stair and she went down them on her knees! She landed on her knees on cement and these are all cement stairs and she was so worried about dropping Gracie she held onto her so all the damage is on her poor knees. She was bleeding and so scraped up and I felt terrible. The worst damage was done to her knee that she had knee surgery on last June! Didn't think my night could get any worse until we went to Mark's to play games and Gracie turned into a little turd! She screamed and screamed and screamed and given she is teething, but I was so afraid we were going to give Mark a bad head again we left. So now here I sit with the bum head! It might just be a little of everything. With Gracie teething she gets me up all night long and this has gone on for months! I just feel like I am living on 3 hours of sleep and everything came crashing down tonight! Literally! Thanks for listening!

Wow! I hate it when those things happen. I hope your mom's knee is doing O.K. I remember Braxton teething...I think he lived on Tylenol/Ibuprofen for a while.

You are a woman of my own heart! When it rains it seems to pour! Being a mom is the best job in the world but also the HARDEST!! They sure can be poops! And angels too of course! The amazing part is that they can change from one to the other in a matter of two seconds!! That is talent! Hang in there cutie!!

Arent't those just the worst nights. Everything negative is magnified when you're living on so little sleep. I hope your baby feels better soon. I can empathise. Caleb has had bronchitis for 2 weeks now..and has since passed it onto Jordan which means I have had no sleep for the duration of the illness. Exhaustion at its finest! I hope it all ends soon for you.

Sad! I can sympathize with the no sleep thing...I am the crappiest mom in the world on little sleep and when it drags on for months you just feel like driving off a cliff because then you'd be dead and could get a full night's sleep :) Hope it gets better!

I am sorry that all had to happen in one night. The joys of motherhood, sometimes can be VERY overwhelming! When Bre was teething man we went through tylenol and teething tablets like no other. The teething tablets work miracles, if you haven't tried them you should!! I hope you mom and your days get better!!

hey lisa, I'm so sorry for your mom. I hope her knees will be fine, even though she is so much fun to wake up from surgery and learn so many good things about her sweet daughter. Haha. Please call me sometime. Let's do something, anything. I'm bored!!
