Tis the Season...

This has been such a fun and crazy week! I had my work Christmas party Tuesday night which was elegant, delicious and filled with amazing people. My boss knows my love for animals and thought that it should be the topic of the night when he got up to give a speech. He told of a story about a pig named Herman...

One day a man was driving around on a country road and saw a pig with a wooden leg and had to know what happened, so he stopped and knocked at the door of the home next to the pig and the man that came to the door said Herman was an amazing pig. He had saved his children from a mean dog, he had saved their toddler who had wandered off and almost walked into the road in front of an oncoming car, and just that past week he said that during the night Herman starting making all sorts of ruckus and squeeling and when he ran down to see what was going on, sure enough the garage was on fire and they all would have died had it not been for Herman. Then this man asked what happened to his leg...why the wooden leg? And to this the owner replied...with a pig as amazing as Herman, you can't eat him all at once! I about died. Nice huh?

Thursday was the Santa party at work. All of the kids and grand kids of the employees had the opportunity to have a visit with Santa and get a present...Gracie hopped right up on his lap and told him she just wants a lump of coal and a pillow pet. Santa loved that lol.

Game night Friday night with a bunch of fabulous friends and food...Last night I managed to fit in 5 loads of laundry, 4 batches of cookies, 60 christmas cards, wrapped presents...I need a very long nap now lol.

My cute Dad fell yesterday and injured his bad knee. He has had reactive arthritis for so long now and his bones are so bad. He goes to the doctor tomorrow to see what the damage is. The swelling is unbelievable. I am praying for good news. They are moving to St. George in a few weeks for 3 months and I want him to feel great so they can really enjoy their time there, but for now it looks like he is back on his cane. My poor Dad!

And yesterday in Providence there was a horrible crash involving 4 siblings ages 18-7 and 2 of the four were killed. I can't even begin to imagine what that poor family is going through and even worse, the week before Christmas. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season and staying warm, happy and healthy! Hopefully I can write again soon. Love to all.
